Wisdom is not an abstraction – wisdom is about making choices in the concrete circumstances of life and work. Ideally in the process of decision-making, people are conscious and intentional about living their values and priorities. But at times, that can be challenging. The quest for wisdom requires two key dimensions: a process for wise decision-making and a set of criteria upon which to base judgements. In his presentation, Gary will propose one such process and a set of criteria based on core themes found throughout major spiritual wisdom traditions. The process and criteria will not be a detailed recipe but instead will be starting points for more informed decision-making in an ongoing process of self-transformation. Gary's presentation will be equally important for individuals in their personal and professional lives, as well as for organizations of all kinds, from families to unions, from charities to multinational corporations.
